Glasmuseum Lette. New Acquisitions 2019

The Glasmuseum Lette is presenting its new acquisitions of 2019 to the public. Once again, these were purchased on trips to other European countries. Among the exhibits are the first and third prize-winning works of the Immenhausen Glass Prize by Heikko Schulze Höing and Iris Haschek as well as several objects shown at the British Glass Biennale, including "Bubble-Wrap" by Allister Malcolms. From the Netherlands, the sculpture "Mesocosm" by Han de Kluijver now enriches the collection in Coesfeld. With another entry, he won the competition Glass Sculpture and Garden of the City of Munster last year. His glass objects resemble architectures, solid forms in space. The genre of sculpture on the other hand is at the centre of the artistic work of the Japanese artist Masayo Odahashi. Among the recent acquisitions is one of her inward-turned figures, mostly young girls, which radiates a quiet power.
