Melted from glass crumbs in a sand mold, engraved, and enhanced with ink, charcoal, thread, or gold, the bowl-shaped objects by Susanne Sorg invite us to discover the finest details. Graphic elements and vibrant surfaces create an exciting interplay, with rough, still unfinished areas contrasting with precise compositions. Often, the works are also shaped by personal life experiences, telling stories as 'milestones' of elemental opposites such as confinement and liberation, pain and healing, or darkness and light. Susanne lives and works in Passau and has been a board member of glasspool e.V. since 2017, where she particularly values the opportunity to exchange and network with glass artists from all fields across Europe.
