Lette Glass Museum – New Acquisitions 2025
Visits to various exhibitions, galleries, and artists both at home and abroad have led to encounters with glass art whose creativity and professionalism are truly astonishing.
Visitors can expect extraordinary new acquisitions and a colorful, wide-ranging selection of works—from vibrant to minimalist, from delicate to robust, and from poetic to delightfully whimsical.
Among them are objects from Peter Layton’s London Glassblowing. The studio has made it its mission to bring the best of contemporary glass art to a wider audience by presenting emerging new talents alongside established, internationally renowned glass artists.
Last year, several exciting works by artists from the studio—such as Harry Morgan, Tim Rawlinson, Layne Rowe, and Louis Thompson—as well as two new works by the veteran master Peter Layton were acquired for the collection of the Lette Glass Museum.
Japanese object artist Shige Fujishiro creates his works from countless colored Japanese Toho glass beads, which he threads onto safety pins and links together in often months-long, meticulous fine work. One of his magnificent objects was also acquired for the collection, along with many other exciting works.
