Artist-in-Residence Höhr-Grenzhausen 2027
Call for applications for a residency in the Creative City of Höhr-Grenzhausen for artists who place GLASS at the centre of their creative practice.
Höhr-Grenzhausen is an internationally recognised centre for ceramics and glass. In 2025, the town was designated a Creative City by UNESCO – the first small town in Germany to receive this honour – a distinction that recognises its unique blend of traditional craftsmanship, innovative research and a vibrant art scene. This special combination makes Höhr-Grenzhausen an ideal place for artistic experimentation and creative exchange with like-minded individuals.
The Artist-in-Residence programme offers artists a unique opportunity to benefit from this outstanding infrastructure in Höhr-Grenzhausen, focusing alternately on glass and ceramics. During their residency, they will have access to well-equipped workshops, materials and specialist knowledge that combine both traditional techniques and contemporary, technically sophisticated approaches.
