Ivana Mašitová – Special Exhibition at the Achilles Foundation Glass Museum
Glass at the Intersection of the Elements
Czech glass artist Ivana Mašitová draws inspiration from nature and its constant transformation. On her travels, she observes the colors, textures, and atmosphere of the places she visits. She transforms these impressions into sculptures in which the energy of nature meets the properties of glass.
When working with molten glass, it is the interplay of color and light, and the way colors shift depending on the thickness of the material, that particularly fascinates her. Her colorful glass sculptures emerge from this interplay of light, movement, and natural forms.
